🧑‍💼 Leadership Selection & Criteria

1. Team Formation Authority

  • The newly appointed Head (Project Lead) shall have the authority to select the rest of the core team based on project needs.
  • Team selection must prioritize commitment, reliability, and contribution over popularity or titles.

2. Criteria for Selecting the New Head

The current Head shall select the next Head based on the following criteria:

a. Technical Competence

  • The candidate must have a strong understanding of technology relevant to the project.
  • They should be capable of understanding technical discussions and making informed decisions.

b. Team Leadership Ability

  • The candidate must be able to motivate, coordinate, and bring others together to work toward a common goal.
  • The ability to encourage participation and resolve conflicts is essential.

c. Responsibility & Execution (Most Important)

  • The candidate must demonstrate that when responsibility is given, the task is completed.
  • Talent and social skills are valuable, but without responsibility and follow-through, they are meaningless.
  • Consistency and reliability are the most critical qualities for this role.

d. Commitment & Availability

  • The candidate must be willing to invest time and effort regularly.
  • Leadership requires presence, follow-ups, and accountability.

e. Communication Skills

  • The candidate should be able to communicate clearly and respectfully with team members, advisors, and administrators.
  • Both technical and non-technical communication are important.

f. Problem-Solving Mindset

  • The candidate should remain calm during challenges and focus on solutions rather than blame.
  • The ability to make decisions under pressure is essential.

g. Integrity & Fairness

  • The candidate must act with honesty, transparency, and fairness.
  • Decisions should always be made in the best interest of the project, not personal preferences.

h. Willingness to Learn

  • The candidate does not need to know everything but must be open to learning, feedback, and guidance from seniors and advisors.

🧭 Final Principle

A good leader is not defined by popularity or talent alone, but by responsibility, consistency, and the ability to get work done through people.
